Mundorf describes the MCap as a fast, audiophile MKP capacitor, featuring a lively reproduction of music. The MCap is a polypropylene capacitor with little tolerance (typical +/- 1.5%, max. +/- 3.0%) with low-inductance design. Dissipation is 0.0002 at 1 kHz/1 uF, dielectric strength is 250 or 400 or 630 Vdc. The MCap stands out due to its excellent price/performance ratio.
Mundorf capacitors offer high capacitance in a small cylindrical housing.
Selected pairs of capacitors (capacitance difference less than 1%) are available at an additional charge of EUR 2,80 excl. VAT: € 2.35 / $ 2.56
The MCAP ZN is a tin foil capacitor. Its heavy weight suppresses unwanted oscillation and therefore the microphonics effect. This capacitor has a tolerance of 2% and an dissipation of incredible 0.00002 at 1 kHz (0.0001 at 10 kHz). Up to 1.0 F dielectric strength is 630 Vdc, uo to 2.2 F it is 250 Vdc, above 2.2 F this value is 100 Vdc.
These capacitors, especially the MCap Supreme are absolute top quality components with noninductive coil technology. Two capacitor coils are interwoven in such a way that both their inductance is offset by one another.
