The Cirrus is a slim floorstanding loudspeaker with Monacor magnetostat RBT-95 and Monacor SPH-165 KEP bass driver with a Kevlar fibre cone. The name Cirrus is more than appropriate since the magnetostat delivers an extremely airy sound.

With a height of 73 centimetres the Cirrus is quite slim for a floor standing loudspeaker; but still, the bass is astonishing. And visually the SPH-165 KEP bass driver is quite pleasing with its yellow diaphragm surrounding the phase plug.

In all, the Cirrus is quite a pleasing loudspeaker and we can only congratulate Monacor to this accomplishment.

"...Placed within a compact stereo triangle the Cirrus quickly shows a remarkable talent: completely effortless sound reproduction detached from the physical speakers and enormous depth, a well balanced tonality and - very much in demand - an exceptional ability to excel at lower levels. The massive bass and the slightly bass-heavy configuration in conjunction with the airy tops reveal plenty of details even at a moderate volume. The Magnetostat and the Kevlar classic form a harmonic duo exposing no gap at all, despite the high cut-off frequency. The Cirrus produces a sweet, almost embellishing sound, relaxing and exciting at the same time. Especially the tweeter stands out, rendering delicate and adorned, but always feathery tops. Inevitably, the name "Cirrus" enters my mind. It's the perfect choice and characterises the performance of the speaker just right. Despite the attention to detail our contender doesn't show a hint of edginess even when listening to critical music, turning songs with a mediocre recording quality - often the order of the day - into digestible food for our ears. The Cirrus is, therefore, not critical at all regarding what music style is being reproduced. Besides, the frequency range is of no importance since the bass is phenomenal. A subwoofer would be entirely pointless; this speaker meets even the most demanding low bass requirements."

Please note: *) apart from Monacor crossover components we also supply components by Jantzen, Mundorf and Intertechnik, offering a wider choice. The coils in series to the bass driver are 1.4 mm instead of 1.2 mm reducing the crossover heat, resulting in slightly tighter bass. Besides, we supply MKP capacitors throughout, instead of lossy MKT capacitors.
