Technical data
- size (HxWxD): 40 x 29 x 35 cm
- impedance: 4 Ohm
- sensitivity: 85-90 dB (2.83V/1m)
- frequency range (-3dB): 38-130 Hz
- speaker type: bass reflex with high pass

Sub 10 BRHP is a bass reflex subwoofer equipped with a Mivoc AWM 104 bass driver and a high pass filter for further bass accentuation (BRHP denotes bass reflex high pass). To achieve this a Mivoc AWM 104 is combined with an AM 80 MK II amplifier module. A 1500 μF capacitor proved to be the best choice in the signal path. In general, a capacitor is a high pass filter, prohibiting that low frequency signals reach the driver, but with a complex impedance (impedance and phase) it also acts like a transformer, amplifying and adjusting the lower frequencies (theory on bass accentuation with a capacitor as in "Sealed Cabinet with High Pass (GHP)").

Review by Hobby HiFi:
"For our listening test we used the Mission 2410 which were finished just in time. At the lowest crossover frequencies these satellites harmonise extremely well with the sub. The transition is absolutely homogenous, without even the slightest gap. The subwoofer cannot be distinguished at all. Depth and punch are there in abundance. Even at low volumes the sub reproduces clear bass lines with great attention to details and doesn't exaggerate anything. These characteristics don't change at all at higher volumes. Like e.g. the live version of Hotel California the Eagles' "The Hell Freezes Over". The fat drums during the intro are absolutely tight and have an adequate punch, not exaggerated but surely impressive. One just doesn't believe that there is only an 80 Watt amp at work. Apparently, the quite steep subsonic separation immediately below the subwoofer's cut-off frequency allows an extremely efficient use of amplification power, making us believe that a much more powerful amp is in operation." ...

Sub 10 BRHP with higher quality high pass

If you require a higher quality capacitor in the signal path of the bass driver, Hobby HiFi recommends to use the following capacitors in parallel, instead of 820 μF and 680 μF in parallel (=1500 uF):
- 2 x 680 μF ELCO etched, 100V
- 150 μF ELCO etched
- 15 μF MKP capacitor
