The Mimir is a new design by Seas comprising
- The Seas WA 180 bass driver with coated paper cone
- And the Seas KT27/550 dome tweeter with fabric diaphragm

It's an excellent small 2-way bass reflex shelf speaker. The bass reflex tube is located on the rear side.

The bass driver is cut-off with an 18 dB crossover; there are, therefore, two coils in the signal path to the bass driver requiring a low resistance.

Review in Klang+Ton 3/2008:
... "Connected to our incomparably dynamic SymAsym mono blocks, the Mimir got cracking with such liveliness and punch that we were immediately reminded of kindred Cheap Trick 230. The Seas speaker is always wide-awake, driving on the vocals and pushing the drums. Also the bass reproduction is marvellous. The gently dropping curve matches the character of this Norwegian contender. Nothing get dolled up or covered up, the sound is always sonorous and lean, but always truthful and probably adequately intense, even close to the walls. Designers with seemingly insoluble bass problems in the listening room should have a closer look at the Mimir. Especially drums, usually not the forte of speakers of this kind and size, are very impressive. No matter what the drummer does, the Mimir doesn't sound compressed, serves brisk bass drums, cracking snare drums and swinging cymbals. Here, the speaker shows an interesting characteristic. While the mid / bass driver performs mercilessly the tweeter strikes a softer note. One should think that this won't work, but it does and it works well. This combination provides on the one hand a mixture of softness and precision and on the other spurt of speed and dynamics - almost a Rambo in black tie. And let's not forget the beautiful three-dimensionality of the Mimir. The stage realistic in size, width as well as depth. In any case this speaker conveys in spite of the dynamics a pleasant sincerity. Vocals of any pitch are reproduced realistically and without colouration. The gentle drop in tonality at the tops and the bottom results in an absence of bang-hiss effect, avoiding listening fatigue."
